Simple Past Tense in Kannada

I went to school – naanu shaalege hode – ನಾನು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದೆ

you went to school – neenu shaalege hode – ನೀನು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದೆ

they went to school – avaru shaalege hodaru – ಅವರು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು

we went to school – naavu shaalege hodevu – ನಾವು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದೆವು

boys went to school – hudugaru shaalege hodaru – ಹುಡುಗರು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು

he went to school – avanu shaalege hodanu – ಅವನು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು

she went to school – avalu shaalege hodalu – ಅವಳು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದಳು

Ravi went to school – Ravi shaalege hodanu – ರವಿ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು

Geetha went to school – Geetha shaalege hodalu – ಗೀತ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದಳು

  2. I too have the same doubt. Maybe because I relied on incorrect sources before. Can you explain the same (simple past and past perfect) with verb Maadi (do)?

    1. I called him – Naanu avanige phone maadide.
      I had called him – naanu avanige phone maadidde.
      I did that work – naanu aa kelasa maadide.
      I had done that work – naanu aa kelasa maadidde.
      I have done that work – naanu aa kelasa maadideeni.
      I have called him – naanu avanige phone maadideeni.
